Game Thread, Pacers vs Bucks, 3/2/2008, 5 pm

Quote:
Teams: Bucks (22-37) vs. Indiana Pacers (23-36).

When: 5 tonight.

Where: Bradley Center.

Broadcasts: TV - FSN Wisconsin cable. Radio - AM-1250.

About the Pacers: Whether it's the losing, the injuries or the problems off the court, the Pacers have been a team in turmoil. The latest off-court incident occurred last week when a man wanted in connection with a Tennessee murder case was arrested after leaving the home of Pacers forward Shawne Williams. "We've got to be very clear on this,' said team president Larry Bird. "We don't want our players hanging around with murderers." The Pacers victory over Toronto Friday broke a three-game losing streak.

PLAYER TO WATCH
MIKE DUNLEAVY, Pacers

The son of former Bucks coach Mike Dunleavy tied his career high with 36 points in a 122-111 victory over Toronto on Friday night. It was Dunleavy's fifth 30-point game of the season. He made 11 of 19 shots, including 6 of 9 from three-point range, to go along with six rebounds and four assists. "He had a very, very fine game," said Pacers coach Jim O'Brien.

The Journal-Sentineal says this game is at the Bradley Center, but the schedule says it is in Indiana. I'm going with the schedule.

We got killed to a bunch of jobbers.

Re: Game Thread, Pacers vs Bucks, 3/2/2008, 5 pm

An extremely disappointing game.

Quote:
PLAYER OF THE GAME: For the second straight game, Indiana's Mike Dunleavy tied his career high with 36 points. It's the first time in his career that he scored 30-plus points in consecutive games. He also had 36 Friday in a victory over Toronto. "Mike is a hell of a scorer," Indiana coach Jim O'Brien said. "He gets on a roll and we try running him off as many pick and rolls as we can. Whenever Mike or Danny (Granger) score a lot of points, a lot it has to do with our tempo. The last couple of games our tempo has been where it needed to be."

PLAY OF THE GAME: Milwaukee rookie Yi Jianlian sprained his left ankle with 10 minutes 44 seconds left and did not return. The severity of the injury was not known but with Yi trying to work out of a slump, he can't afford to miss any time.

STATISTICS SHEET: The Pacers' 128 points were a season high and were their most since they scored 136 points in a double-overtime victory over the Bucks on Feb. 21, 2007.

OFF THE BENCH: Pacers guard Kareem Rush scored 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting, including 3 for 4 from three-point range, and opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer to give the Pacers a 100-85 lead.
