Game Thread, Bucks vs Pacers, 5 pm, Indiana

Quote:
TEAMS: Bucks (26-49) vs. Indiana Pacers (32-44).

WHEN: 5 p.m. today.

WHERE: Conseco Fieldhouse.

BROADCASTS: TV - FSN Wisconsin cable. Radio - AM-620.

ABOUT THE PACERS: They still have something to play for since they picked up a game on eighth-place Atlanta in the playoff standings by beating the Bucks Friday night at the Bradley Center. That victory, coupled with the Hawks' loss to Philadelphia, left the Pacers three games behind Atlanta with six to play. The Hawks and 76ers played a rematch Saturday night in Philadelphia. The Pacers have won seven of their last 10 games.

PLAYER TO WATCH

JERMAINE O'NEAL, Pacers

He played 19 minutes and 22 seconds against the Bucks on Friday because the team's medical staff has limited him to playing no more than 20 minutes a game as he comes back from a knee injury that sidelined him for 33 games. Coach Jim O'Brien said O'Neal would play no more than 20 minutes in today's game, also. If O'Neal is cleared to play up to 25 minutes per game, O'Brien says he'll probably put him in the starting lineup.

Re: Game Thread, Bucks vs Pacers, 5 pm, Indiana

It figures it would be Deiner who kills them:

Quote:
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Travis Diener had three points in a quiet 12 minutes through three quarters but then went off in the fourth. "When I hit my first shot in the fourth quarter, things really seemed to start falling into place," he said. "A big difference in us the last few weeks is that we're making more plays down the stretch. Earlier, we weren't but I think now we've really come together as a team."

PLAY OF THE GAME: Diener's three-pointer with 10:33 left was Indiana's first basket from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter and opened the floodgates for the Pacers.

OFF THE BENCH:Bobby Simmons was the only reserve to score for the Bucks, scoring nine of his 11 points in the second quarter.

STATISTICS SHEET: The Bucks lost despite limiting Indiana to 41.8% shooting.
