Kevin Garnett on the Bucks

Quote:
IF THE SHOE FITS. . . : Have you been wondering how the Bucks are regarded around the league these days? Boston's Kevin Garnett provided some insight on that subject after the Celtics' victory over Milwaukee last week improved their record to 36-1 against teams with losing records.

"We play for ourselves, not other teams," Garnett said. "That's what (coach) Doc Rivers says to us. That comes to life when we play teams that don't really have any significance."

Ouch.

Re: Kevin Garnett on the Bucks

The Bucks are in good shape to improve on their team for next season. Bogut is a stud and a great young center in the NBA. Redd is a proven scorer that can go off on any team. Mo Williams is a solid point guard who now has a legit back-up in Ramon Sessions who is looking like a great young guard that any team would like to have. Charlie V is solid and is a good trade asset at the very least. Yi will bounce back from a so so rookie year and form a good 3 man rotation of big men with V and Bogut. Desmond Mason and Simmons gives some decent wing depth. The team will be getting a quality top 10 pick in the draft that should be a rotation player. If you get a player that contributes like Horford, Green, or Thorton has in their rookie year then the Bucks will be tough.

Re: Kevin Garnett on the Bucks

Just like a few other teams in the league Milwaukee needs direction. They need to play more defense, find the right players for there team, and re-tool the roster. The Bucks have talent, but it doesn't mesh.

Re: Kevin Garnett on the Bucks

They need to trade Redd/Mo Williams/Villaneuva in my opinion. They need a point guard that can feed the ball to Bogut, an all-around SG that can slash/shoot/defend, and maybe start Bobby Simmons at 3.

The current direction clearly isn't working.
