Ouch.
Now I will admit that the deal that sent Sam Cassell was an extremely bad one for the Bucks. This leaves them with TJ Ford, who I don't think will be worth a hoot, running the squad as a rookie or some other yahoo... Bad news for Bucks fans.

What's really funny is that they've gone from having a complete glut of point guards to a complete absence of them in the space of like two weeks! I don't think I ever remember seing something like that before.
They really have to go spend some money to get a vet now, but they can't be a very attractive prospect to anyone with other options either
Maybe if they overpay on a fairly short contract they could land Travis Best or Kenny Anderson or someone like that

maybe if they suck it up bad, they can get a superstar to build their franchise around. They have some pieces like Ford, Redd, Mason, Gadzuric.

If you guys are "short" on point guards, what do you think about a sign and trade of GP for Damon Stoudamire? Is is contract and off-court problems too much or would he be worth it to you?

This came to no suprise. GP would not resign with Bucks the first day he came in from trade. Couple reasons:
1. The Bucks offered no shots for a ring.
2. The Bucks were rebuilding and looking to cut cost. That means no big offer to GP.
Again it is not a suprise.

LOL, that's just crazy talk. Actually, I'd be willing to do it if you'd take back worthless players:
This trade works under the cap:
Damon "Cheech" Stoudamire and next year'sl 1st (to make up for Haislip who needs to be included for salary cap reasons) for Haislip, Anthony Mason and Jason Caffey.
Cheech would at least give us an experienced playmaker to share time with TJ.
PG- Cheech, TJ
SG- Des, Redd
SF- Thomas, Kukoc
PF- Smith, (Kukoc)
C - Gadzuric, Pryzbilla
<HR>
Mighty, I agree it was no surprise, but some folks were still holding out hope
