Power forward Michael Beasley suffered a hyperextended right knee at Toronto on Wednesday and was ruled out of the Heat's game against the Pistons. PLAYER TO WATCH
DWYANE WADE, Heat
Wade had 32 points and 10 rebounds but still came out on the short end of an intriguing duel with Cleveland star LeBron James on Monday night in Miami. Wade committed a late turnover on a behind-the-back pass and James converted it into two key free throws at the other end as the Cavaliers prevailed, 92-91. The former Marquette star had 30 points in the first half of that game but just two in the second half. "You have to try to keep him out of the paint," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "He's a great penetrator, and he has a wide array of shots. We have to really pay attention to where he is on the floor and overload the side of the floor that he's on and not try to give him seams to drive in." Now in his seventh pro season, Wade is the Heat's franchise leader in assists, points, steals, field goals made and free throws made.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Hakim Warrick came off the Bucks' bench to score 22 points and grab six rebounds in 28 highly productive minutes. "We did a good job in getting some pick-and-pops going," Warrick said of three consecutive jumpers he hit in the fourth quarter. "I just tried to be aggressive. No matter what, you've got to be ready when your number is called."
PLAY OF THE GAME: The Bucks' lead had been cut to 10 points and Miami had the ball when Carlos Delfino poked it away from the Heat's Daequan Cook. Delfino got control of the ball near midcourt and sprinted for a one-handed dunk, giving the Bucks a 77-65 lead with 8:02 remaining.
STATISTICS SHEET: The Bucks hit 12 of 18 shots in the second quarter, including four of six by reserve Jerry Stackhouse. Miami was just 6 of 22 in the period for a mark of 27.3%.
OFF THE BENCH: Stackhouse scored all eight of his points in the second quarter to help the Bucks to their 33-point outburst in the period. Dorell Wright had 12 points for Miami, and forward Udonis Haslem struggled to 1-of-8 shooting and two points in 31 minutes.
