Hudson's deal coming close

Quote:
The Timberwolves and the agent for Troy Hudson have moved toward a deal that would keep the free-agent guard in Minnesota for seasons to come.
Hudson's deal

Looks like they are talking about him taking on MLE worth $5.1 million, to as long as 6 years.

That is way to much. I am sorry but you guys should either have Cassell or Hudson. Pick one. Then sign a Fisher or let someone else handle teh point.

You guys are gonan pay Hudson 5.1 mill for 6 years when for the next 3 years he will prob. only get 10 min. a game??? Come on Mchale smarten up.

are you serious? 10 min/game.

because of what happened in this year's playoffs with cassell, the wolves organization already established that cassell would only be playing about 30 min/game next season. the wolves will also play cassell and hudson together. he'll be seeing between 20-30 min/game.

the guy was unbelievable in the 03' playoffs. his value and contract status looked as though he'd be looking for the BIG bucks of a starting pg in the league. he was hurt all of last season, but rest assured, had the wolves had hudson in our playoff run, mark madsen would've been dancin through the streets of downtown minneapolis celebrating our first nba title since the mikan days. hudson is worth what he's about to get and more. there are teams out there who would'a paid him more.

what people dont understand is that if hudson was not injured, along with cassell, the wolves would be nba champs, now that shaq is out of the west, i think with a healthy team, the wolves will win the nba championship. I bet kandi is working really hard at this point and will probably inprove his game. We may need another scorer off the bench like a lee nailon or trade wally for a couple of good swolid bench players like derek anderson and dale davis

I'm on your side, sheefo. What the team was missing is Cassell-Hudson combo. That would've been deadly in the Lakers round. With Troy out most of the season is the most painful thing they actually endured the whole season, winning the division, nab #1 seed in the Western Conference and home advantages in all series. Can't you imagine that where the team has lack of PG coming off bench and yet seeded as no. 1? Although we got the bad luck most of time but we were fortunate enough to pull themselves together until to the true end, either WCF or the Finals. The NBA Finals with a victory would be nice, indeed. Then without Cassell, they kept battling the Lakers and forced them to work harder but comes the bias among the officials, if that say so from the T'Wolves standpoint

If not for those specific actions of the officials during the Lakers series, they should have nabbed the title even without both Cassell and Hudson with only scrub Martin as a starter.

the thing is is that they are both so much diffrent, hudson would of been more effective in the lakers series and the sac series, but cassell was effective against nuggets.

hudson is more effective aginst experienced old teams and cassell destroys the young teams with his expeirince. then u put them both on the floor and teams will have a lot of trouble stopping them.
