After surfing around the blazers forums i noticed that they had a thread about trenton hassell signing with the blazers. I guess they are in "serious conversations" about a 6 year MLE exception deal. Maybe even the max. The link is there in the portland blazers forums. The fact is is that hassell is restriced free agent, so unless they give him the max MLE, or evn the MLE it self, we proabably willl have him either way. I dont see why he is worth that much even though i said he was in a dffrent thread. It just means more time for wally.

So hopefully the wolves can match an offer or even sign him to like a 6 year, 19 million dollar deal. Also they said that the denver nuggets are interested in him too but with that big kenyon martin deal, they probabaly wont have enough unless they spend 2.5 mill a year on him.

hassell will be in a timberwolves uniform next season. why??? because if he wanted to sign elsewhere, he would'a done it by now.

since he is restricted, we can match any offer he agrees to (unless someone is under the cap and signs him to more than MLE, in that case he is too expensive anyhow).
I hope Denver offers him a deal that starts at 2.5 mil, that way we can match and still have some of the MLE left over for another player. If Portland offers him the max MLE, then it will be a tough call on whether to re-sign him.

How can he possibly make it into team even he's a defensive potential? They got too many men on that position: Ruben Patterson, Abdur Rahim, Randolph, and there are those that can play 2 positions in Forward position.

He is actually a shooting guard, he would be with DA. They need defense in the back court.

either way, unless he gets some outragous contract, we will match it because he is restricted
