hoopshype.com had wolves as one of the rumored teams interested in Drew Gooden.
I did some looking on realgm.com to check for some realistic trades, and this is what i came up with.
Minnesota trades: C Michael Olowokandi (6.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.6 apg in 21.5 minutes)
Minnesota receives: C Andrew DeClercq (3.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.6 apg in 17.1 minutes)
PF Drew Gooden (11.6 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 27.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +8.3 ppg, +5.3 rpg, and +1.1 apg.
Orlando trades: C Andrew DeClercq (3.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.6 apg in 17.1 minutes)
PF Drew Gooden (11.6 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 27.0 minutes)
Orlando receives: C Michael Olowokandi (6.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.6 apg in 43 games)
Change in team outlook: -8.3 ppg, -5.3 rpg, and -1.1 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
If we are gonna give up on Kandi, this seems ok. It would be Center by committee again with EJ, Declerq and Madsen. But we would get a good young backup at PF for KG who can board.
Other possibility (much less likely) is trade them Wally for Mobley and Gooden. I am sure they don't want wallys contract.
