Hudson's contract still hasn't been finalized, may soon resume looking at other teams
Quote:
Frustrated that his contract with the Wolves still hasn't been finalzed, Troy Hudson may soon resume looking at other teams.
Several teams, including Miami, Utah, Houston and Toronto, expressed interest in Hudson before he decided to re-sign with Minnesota. The two sides agreed to a six-year, $37 million contract, but language written into the deal because of the point guard's ankle has had to be reworked at the NBA insistence.

right now, the wolves are talking trades with the blazers. I think we should just give him a REGULAR contrct. not this crap where we add this injured game crap, befoore we lose more draft picks.

Basically from what I can tell, the two agreed to a deal, submitted it to someone for review, and got a response back that the contract doesn't comply with the rules and won't be allowed. From the sound of things, it simply wouldn't get the approval of the league -- there isn't anything "illegal" about it in a Joe Smith sense.

apparently that article was incorrect. hudson's agent was on Hartman yesterday and said that negotiations are still exclusively with the wolves, and that he expects to have the contract done within a week.
