Anyone on here from the Minnesota area hear Flip on the radio today? I didn't hear it, but from an e-mail from a friend of mine plus comments I've seen on the ESPN message board he apparently mentioned a lot of the topics we discuss on this board (though there were no bombshell revelations or anything). Since we haven't had much of substance, but just a lot of board speculation lately figured its nice to at least get something from an actual team official. Anyway, below are some of the quotes I've got from other people describing Flip's interview...

About Wally:

ESPN board: -Wolves felt last year they had best team until injuries occured; (i.e. they won't be making any major moves because they gained Hudson, Kandi, Wally ).-About Wally rumors- Flip said that every summer there's Wally rumors. (Probably means he's not getting traded.)

ESPN board: He also mentioned that Wally is hot commodity. He stated that he felt Wally was going to have a monster year.

About filling the last roster spot:

Also covered, apparently said that Payton wants to play in Minny but there's just about zero chance of that happening. Said that Kandi has been working out in Miami, not locally, so still don't know what to expect from him this year. Anyone else listen to the interview and have anything else to add? Or any response to what's been mentioned here?

i didnt here it but i wish id did,

well a big i think they are pursuing a guy like keon clark or jackie butler. They pursue a guy like kedrick brown.Some impressive guys i have seen are antoinos fotsis of the grizzlies and daniel santiago. Maybe they are in the dealing.

as for the wally rumors, they have been shopping him. All the teams except new york declined the offers. It is not like flip is going to say yes we have been shopping wally.

for kandi, he was working out earlier with mchale here in minnesota. I guess he is in miami now like u said.

One thing that i know from my cousin in baltimore is that sam cassell is working out over there in local fitness centers, along with juan dixon. And their friends, my cousin told me that his friiends were actually better than he was........

unless your cousin and his friend are jason kidd, kobe bryant, tracy mcgrady, etc., i'm pretty sure that that is complete B.S.

to even say that he and his friends are better than cassell is a mockery and nothing else.

my cousins live in baltimore and they played a 5 on 5 game with them at a private health club there. You dont have to be a pro to play against a pro......

i realize that sheefo, but come on, they really couldn't be as good as cassell.
