Last game: Minnesota - Loss, 101-102
Last game: Houston - Win, 90-87
Projected Starting Lineups:
Reserves:
Obviously, this game is going to depend on the status of Tracy McGrady. His trainers ruled him out for today, but McGrady made a comment that if he's ready to play, he's going to play. I expect him to be in there. Houston is 2-0 at home, and with McGrady around, I can see Houston winning this game. There's a couple of mis-matches here for both sides, namely Yao Ming vs. any center the Timberwolves throw out there. However, Minnesota has a couple of favorable mis-matches in Garnett vs. Taylor/Howard, and Cassell/Hudson vs. Ward/Lue. If Cassell can give Minnesota 20 points, and Wally or Sprewell can chip in, Minnesota can win this game regardless of T-Mac's status. Houston turns the ball over a lot, but holds their opponents to a low FG%, so Minnesota really needs to capitalize on Houston's TO's, while shooting a decent % from the field.
I would be pretty shocked if McGrady played. The Wolves should come out and beat up on the Rockets. Hopefully Yao will have a good night though, he's on my fantasy team.

Hey Koko mind if you copied that to the Houston forum too? Ming Bling hasn't done one for us yet, and I'm too lazy to do it myself
All things point to Wolves winning this one, but this has been a pretty crazy season so far, so don't count the Rockets out of this one... hope Yao comes up with a big game, else this will get ugly

Does Ming Bling usually do a game thread? I'll out it over there if he doesn't get to it in the next hour or so.
It was too close for comfort for you. If Jim Jackson hadn't got that silly call on him, who knows... Plus, the Rockets were T-Mac-less (and Sura-less, too).
in my eyes, t mac sort of makes this team a little worse....... It was a blow out and if tmac were playing, he would take it into his hands and not bring um back, but without um they excicuted, inside out. They were hitting threes, went inside, and they had a good all around performance.
Wow, I'm surprised nobody is talking about Trenton Hassell's feriocious dunk on Yao Ming....well, it wasn't actually ON Yao, but still it was a thunderous dunk. I didn't know Hassell was so gifted offensively.
Griffin played an okay game. He took bad shots, too many three pointers.
KG shot poorly from the field, but his last bucket was what it was, amazing.
Yao played a great game, making many key baskets down the stretch.
...and I admit, I've been giving Kandiman a hard time, but last night, he probably played the best game he's had...he took it to Yao and looked like he knew what he was doing out there.

His rookie year in Chicago, besides playing great defense, he also showed a fair amount of offensive ability. However, I think the Bulls put too much pressure on him to score the year afterwards and his shooting percentage went into the tank, along with his confidence.
I think his performances in the playoffs last year, plus the fact that he was looked to as an offensive weapon during the preseason is why he's producing a little more offensively right now.
