Game Thread: Memphis Grizzlies @ Minnesota Timberwolves

November 26th, 2004 - 7:0 PM (Central Time)

Memphis Grizzlies(5-7) @ Minnesota Timberwolves(6-5)

Last game: Memphis - Loss, 84-93
Last game: Minnesota - Loss, 102-106

Projected Starting Lineups:

Reserves:

With both teams coming off losses, both teams should have a little more motivation for this game. Pau Gasol has missed the last few games, so I'm not sure what his status is yet tonight. Like I always do, I'll make an assumption, and say that Pau will play. With Minnesota being on the clasp of .500 and playing at home, I'm predicting a win for them. Memphis is also coming off a night in which they found out Hubie won't be coaching anymore. Maybe it will hurt their play, maybe it will help.

Prediction:

Minnesota 99, Memphis 91

I dont know. There has to be something going on underground with the wolves. Griff isnt getting time. Kandi had the "flu" then doesnt start the next few games, then he becomes an idiot and gets arrested. Troy is playing better than sam. Noone is talking on the team.

Minnesota pounded Memphis into the ground with a 25-point victory. Talk about statement games, Minnesota sent a message to everybody that they aren't about to fold this early in the season.

Minnesota Leaders:

Points:

Kevin Garnett - 26
Latrell Sprewell - 22
Eddie Griffin - 15

Rebounds:

Kevin Garnett - 15
Trenton Hassell - 9
Eddie Griffin - 5
Fred Hoiberg - 5

Assists:

Sam Cassell - 8
Latrell Sprewell - 6
Kevin Garnett - 5

Eddie Griffin scored 15 points tonight, but it took him 16 shots in 21 minutes. Regardless, he should still get some more PT. Solid team performance out there, maybe this will get Minny on track.

This game is pretty much what i am expecting out of the team. The ball movement was tremendous. First half, griff looked like a 6th man of the year. Sprewell played like an all star. Hassell and griff got on the o boards. I was just amazed by how great the ball movement was.
