Game Thread: Phoenix Suns @ Minnesota Timberwolves
January 4th, 2005 - 7:00 PM (Central Time)
Phoenix Suns (26-4) @ Minnesota Timberwolves(16-12)
Last game: Phoenix - Win, 117-98
Last game: Minnesota - Loss, 95-104
Projected Starting Lineups:
Reserves:
In the last meeting, the T'Wolves beat the Suns in Phoenix with big peformances from Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell, and Latrell Sprewell. They are going to need the same thing from those three in this game. Actually, even more. Minnesota managed to hold Phoenix under 100 points, but I don't see that happening this time. Amare is on a huge tear as of late, probably even when he's not defended by 3rd-teamers like Tony Massenburg and Joel Przybilla, and he had a pretty good one last time against Minnesota. It will be interesting to see who Flip starts in this game, because I personally would go small and match Phoenix with Eddie Griffin in the lineup or possibly even Trenton Hassell. Eddie Griffin needs to have a big game because I'd imagine that he's going to get a lot of minutes along side Garnett at the 4/5 position. Minnesota has to take care of the ball and play with some sort of intensity. A big win for Minnesota could turn the rest of the season around for them.

I'll actually be going to this game.
I want to be there when Amare drops 100.
Minnesota is playing like crap, they aren't going to win. The season is over unless a trade happens. I'm sick of the selfishness of this team. Sam Cassell is playing poor, Spree is playing like an old man, and Kevin Garnett is not himself.
Troy must get traded, along with Kandi/Wally/Spree/Sam.
We need Jason Kidd!

It is going to be a tough game for the Wolves. Hopefully Amare tries to do to much after scoreing 50.

I agree. His overreaction is the only reason Amare got the 2nd T.

He is under the pressure of trying to feed his kids. Maybe he deserves a little slack?

I'm surprised to see that KG has such a huge game and Minnesota didn't win. But, when you got horrible production from your center and Sprewell, it's actually not surprising.
How long before Sprewell is either benched or traded?

Free Wally...he need more than 10 shots a game. The League needs to atleast fear another scoring threat. Not one that might do something this game, but not the next.
Wally is your closest thing to that right now.

i am going to agree. He is the best shooter on this team. He is learning how to dribble the basketball. I think he makes sam cassell and spree jealous with his contract. If wally can be the wally of old, then we have a chance of ending the season above .500 or else lottery here we come. I would love to see ju;ius hodge wear a wolves uni. I would be the first to buy one!
