Question The new way?

What do you guys think of the new starting 5? Starting with a more defensive-minded seems smarter too me, with Wally, T-Hud, and Hoiberg coming off the bench points shouldn't be a problem. However with the new defensive play style, do you guys think Cassell will still start when he gets back?

Cassell will most definitely start once he comes back. But I hope he doesn't come back too soon as I want him to get some rest for the playoffs...if we make it.

It's no surprise that we started to win games again once the starting lineup changed to a more defensive-minded five. If Flip could have just realized that we won games last year because of that we would be winning a lot more ball games.

When Wally is in the starting lineup...along with Kandi, the lineup looks a little something like this:

Kandi
KG
Wally
Spree
Cassell

This lineup we don't know where the offense is going to come from, and it's not a very good defensive five too...

But with the new lineup:

Thomas (Madsen when he returns)
KG
Spree
Hassell
Carter (Cassell when he returns)

We know exactly where our offense is going to come from - KG, Spree, and Cassell. A starting five with hustle and defense...plus we know where our offense is coming from, that's a good lineup.

I like it with the more "defensive" players starting. I thought Hassel should have started over Wally all year. Hassel can shut down the opponents star from the start, instead of having to come in and try to shut him down after the star has caught on fire.

I read something about Spree not looking for more money anymore because no one will give more, and Wally not wanting to start he justv wants to win. So atleast the attitudes have gotten better.

Well here is the thing i have been thinking about. It looks like we play a lot better when carter is in the game, when sammy c is back, do we stick with carter as the back up? Or do we keep troy there? I think we should go with carter and then trade wally and troy or somethign like that for a center that doesnt cause trouble like kandi. I like what thomas is doing but i dont think him starting is helping, i think he is making it worse. I think you put erv in the startign lineup.....

I do like hassell starting though, i think him starting is the only thing making the real diffrence.
