Re: fa's interested
The only way to grab Brent Barry and Rasho Nesteriovisihse;sk is to trade for them.
Gary Payton will most likely end up w/ the Suns.
Minnesota should look at Devin Brown. He's very similar to Damien Wilkins, but a better shooter. He surely will not be retained by S.A. w/ the Finley sig. so that would be a nice addition at the SG position, unless McCants can handle it full time.

Re: fa's interested
I'd kill somebody, possibly myself, if we traded for Brent Barry or Rasho Nesterovich. Wouldn't shock me at all if we get Payton, it doesn't really excite me much though.

That's funny and scary all in the same sentense! Hopefully just a joke.
I guess Minny should cross them off the list?

Rasho? No way, I'd take Olowokandi over him any day of the week. It's not saying much, but at least Olowokandi puts up 10 pts once or twice a season. Rasho 'Mid-Range' Nesterovic spends all his court time staring at Duncan. He doesn't DO anything.

I disagree with that comment. Rasho doesn't fit in with the Spurs. Garnett in a sense, made Rasho what he was. While Garnett looked for Rasho while he drew attention in the post...Duncan just passes the ball back out to the guards. Nesty had a number of 10+ scoring games for the Wolves. Matter of fact, he averaged 11.2 a game the year before he left. Kandi trails him in pretty much every aspect. I'd take Rasho back in a heart-beat. I don't know about a trade though. Bottom line, Rasho fit in better with the Wolves then he does with the Spurs. Same can be said about him w/Garnett vs. w/Duncan.

Re: fa's interested
Rasho Nesterovic is better than Olowokandi. However, taking contracts into consideration (Olowokandi on expiring deal, Rasho on long term contract) Olowokandi is the better option for Minny.
And socco, why no Brent Barry? He's a better than Fred Hoiberg, whom I thought you guys liked.

I don't think so. Maybe more for the pg role and Hoiberg was a lot cheaper. Hoiberg is the better shooter and fits the role better.
But I do not see Rasho or Baryy interested in Minny and vice versa. I am no fan of GP so no for him. I will be happy if we get Murray, Evans, Watson, or Brown.

Cus I don't like him, and he's overpaid. Also, what would we give up to get him? Definately not Wally. We just got McCants so it wouldn't be him. I'd rather have Hassell (rather have Hoiberg too). KG, Kandi, Griffin, Madsen, and Jaric are obvious no's as well. You want Hudson for him? I guess I'd do that. Maybe the whole "shooting someone" was a bit much. I would've killed many people throughout last season if that was the case. But I don't really have much interest in Brent Barry.

On the offensive end, Rasho was better with us than Kandi is. Him and KG had good chemistry out there. But have you seen his contract? They'd have to throw in Parker for us to take on that contract.

Hopefully we'll never have to find out if it's just a joke. And I doubt they're even on our list, or at least I hope they're not...

I said I'd take Rasho back...I know he's not a FA. And I said through a trade I wouldn't do it. I was just simply saying that Rasho was/is a better fit then Kandi.

They are essentially the same type of player. I'll take Dead Eye's contract before I take Barry's. Dead Eye is my favorite T-Wolf other than Garnett.

Re: fa's interested
Fred Hoiberg is one of the best shooters in the league, but he's not better than Brent Barry overall. Yeah, if there's two similar caliber players and you can have one much cheaper it makes sense, but I think people have soured too much on Barry because of last season.

Re: fa's interested
Fred Hoiberg is a perfect basketball player, let's just get that straight right now. And I wasn't too high on Barry before last season. He was supposedly the reason why the Spurs would win it all last year. They did win it all, but it wasn't because of him at all. There was way too much hype about that | |
