Timberwolves Will Work Out Grier

I've never heard of this guy. Anybody know anything about him?

Of course I've seen him play, I'm originally from Minnesota and this guy has played for the Gophers after transferring from JC. He is an aggressive to go baller, can shoot well. He led the team in points per game. The downside is that I'm not sure about his injury and what it would affect him.

Who knows he'll play for the Wolves. Anyways, Bobcats is among the teams in mind that he probably will gone to. The Bobcats team have several connections to Gophers/MN. Bernie Bickerstaff's son JB, an assistant coach, played for the Gophers. They has signed undrafted Kevin Burleson. Alan Anderson, who went and played for Michigan State, but hailed from Minneapolis, I think.

Saw him headed to the bar after a Wolves game earlier this year.

Re: Anybody know this guy?

This guy has great athletic ability. He was in the college dunk contest this year. He had his best year his junior year. Then he looked like a solid second rounder. This year, with injury and a bad team, he looks like a fringe second rounder depending on the needs of the teams, could go undrafted. All that being said, very athletic, can finish, but the reason the wolves want him the most, is becuase he plays solid D, and could be molded into a top perimeter defender. Long wingspan + great athleticism + same state kid = safe gamble.

Re: Anybody know this guy?

Good point about the Bobcats, Juxt. I definitely like that we are working him out. One thing to keep in mind is that the Bobcats don't have a pick in the second round and a lot of other teams tend to overlook Gophers it seems like. I'd definitely like to and him to our summer league team if he doesn't get drafted but I'm not sure I'd use a pick on him.
