Las Vegas Summer League Thread
Well the summer leagues start today and it is gonna be a pretty competitive one. As much as I wish McCants were actually playing in this one, I am excited to see some of the other players. We have Foye, Wright, and Smith but there are some other names that catch my eye. JP Batista could give Craig Smith a run for his money for playing time. Batista is not bad at all. Reece Gaines is also on the roster, the ultimate bust. Vicnent Yarbourgh and Ansu Sesay could also help us out a bit. On other teams, we see players like Roy and stuff like that. Other pretty big names in the summer leagues are Amare Stoudemire, Ron Artest, and Sebastian Telfair. Ndudi Ebi is playing for the Celtics. Dwayne Jones is also playing for them. Llionel Chalmers is playing for the suns. Rick Rickert is playing for the Pistons. So it will be interesting to see how those guys do.

I agree, JP Batista could give Smith a run for his money. I will be very interested to see how Ebi does, I still can't believe a first rounder didn't even get a chance here, doesn't make sense to me. I also am looking forward to see of Reece Gaines and Ansu Sesay play well, both are intriguing players.

Wally: The shooter Minny needed all year.
Kandi: The cap relief they wanted at the end of the year.
Davis: The highflyer, who lost his wings this season.
Blount: Our C...who can't rebound or play D!
Banks: our new PG option, who is a FA, may not re-sign
Reed: also a FA, better hustle option than Mad Dog, may not resign.

Re: Las Vegas Summer League Thread
I believe Smith isn't cleared yet for 5-on-5 play so I doubt he plays tonight. He hasn't been mentioned yet in Draftexpress's write-up of the game, which can be found here
http://draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1395
Looks like the game may be over now, with Sacremento winning 90-83. At the half the Wolves were down 38-44, and there were blurbs on Foye, Bracey, Brunner, and some other guy. All the blurbs said was that Foye was playing PG and looking ok if unspectacular, as he seemed to consciously be trying to run the offense and not take over himself. Said he did well handling the ball, even under pressure. Said that Bracey also spent some time at the PG but didn't look good at all. I'm curious to see what they have to say now that the game is over, once they put the Wolves blurbs back on there...

Re: Las Vegas Summer League Thread
Foye ended the game with 23 points, no assists, 4 boards, 3 steals and 2 turnovers. Good game from him. Wright had 11.

Wright stunk, draftexpress.com said Wright was terrible, but Foye was great.

Re: Las Vegas Summer League Thread
Reading other player reviews, I think it would be a good idea for the Wolves to keep an eye out for John Lucas, who we had on our team last year, and John Gilchrist who is for the Nuggets. Both seems like very solid PG's that we could try to have grow here. Also Casey Jacebson would be a good guy to go after. But yeah, reading what they said about Wright, not impressed.

Re: Las Vegas Summer League Thread
Not only did he look good but so did Wright. I also am hoping that the Wolves will go for John Lucas because he is doing amazing.
