Positive Article [ESPN]

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/s...nba2010_champs

David Thorpe and Brian Windhorst both claim that of the worst 10 teams last year, minnesota has the best chance of winning a title in the next couple years. "Which current cellar dweller may turn into a champ?" I liked the little blurb they wrote, it gives me hope.

Thoughts?

next few years?? i do highly doubt it, but its true because when you have arguably the best player on the planet your never too far off winning, no matter how bad your previous season was.
get KG some serious help and he'll push for a championship.. as he showed in the past.
just want the season to get started so i can see how the new guys gel with him

Re: Positive Article [ESPN]

yea.. i think most of the writers just took the title of the article as "Who is the best of the worst 10 in the league". Minnesota is undoubtedly the best team of those 10, however, the best in the whole league within the next couple of years... thats a real stretch.

I'm just upset that this offseason we are still not a playoff contender yet. i was hoping at least that could happen.

And they didn't do a good job boosting confidence out of some people, in that case, that would be me. Probably not just me here at this board.

I doubt it, anyway.

I hear ya. We're just the best of the chump teams. But I'm gonna stop myself before I go on another anti-McHale tirade.

*exits thread in a huff*

minnesota was worse than the rockets last season even with all of the rockets injury problems. it is more than ridiculous to call minnesota undoubtedly better than houston.

Re: Positive Article [ESPN]

im actually surprisingly positive about this season, im not kidding myself with championship hopes or anything like some teams' fans do.. but i think with the additions we've made and another season from KG theres hope, and potential for a playoffs appearance and i guess all you can do is go from there
