With the 3rd pick in the 2008 draft...

The Minnesota Timberwolves select Roy Hibbert.

I can easily see this as a Mchale pick for 08 and then in 09, McHale will take that new Larry Bird clone that will be going to duke. If I were a T WOlves fan, I'd be happy about the players they got in return indefinitely, but not too thrilled about who McHale may draft in future years.

Re: With the 3rd pick in the 2008 draft...

Hibbert is a 'solid' pick, i cant see him being a superstar though.
if we get a top 3 pick its beasley, rose or mayo... they are the 3 guys with the absolute most potential in the '08 draft.
personally i would take Mayo, he has some baggage but he is the most likely to become a franchise player IMO, and the thought of a Foye/Mayo backcourt is insane for the future

I'm tired of all these big name college players who don't produce in the NBA. Let's wait and see if Brewer works out before we draft another one.

Mayo and Rose are spoken of the same way that carmelo, durant, wade etc are, we havnt drafted one of those players since KG really... the opportunity to take one of them should be jumped on
