Re: Foye's knee worries Wolves- out indefinitely
Quote:
The Minnesota Timberwolves received bad news on Tuesday with their regular-season opener fast approaching: guard Randy Foye's lingering left knee injury will sideline him for several weeks.
An MRI test and CT scan performed on Foye's knee revealed a stress reaction in his kneecap, and the team announced that the second-year player will be out indefinitely.
After being hindered by soreness throughout most of the preseason, Foye played 16 minutes in last Friday's exhibition game and took the court with the Timberwolves on Saturday -- but he's been unable to practice this week. An NBA all-rookie team selection last season, Foye was certain to be in the starting lineup for this revamped, inexperienced team that has only five returning players on the 15-man roster.

Re: Foye's knee worries Wolves- out indefinitely
This is bad news. Hopefully he can make a fast recovery, but we should definately not rush him back since we won't be needing him this season as we aren't planning to compete.

Re: Foye's knee worries Wolves
Here comes Telfair! It'll be a good way to see if he is for real yet.

Re: Foye's knee worries Wolves
No wonder Telfair was significantly outplaying him in preseason.

Timberwolves’ Foye To Miss Three Weeks
In the MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE, Kent Youngblood writes “for months, Timberwolves point guard Randy Foye has felt pain in his left knee. It would throb and ache and he would wonder, ‘What's going on?’ Finally, both he and the Wolves know. Foye has a stress reaction on his left kneecap, the eventual result of a summertime fall and months of trying to play through the pain. The injury will heal on its own, but it will take time, at least three weeks.”

Ah the one Jaric fan has returned lol
Odds are with Wittman coaching Jaric will get big minutes now
be great for telfair to get lots of game time straight away to gel with the rest of the team.
