Best Wolves Ever, By Position
Thought it might be fun to see people's ideas of the top few players the Wolves have ever had at each position. Use whatever criteria you want, but I'm going with actual production on the court while in Minnesota (not before or after). And yes, a few of these guys only played one game here so far as of now! But it was a good one. And some guys played more than one position, so I had to choose, and only place them in one spot.
I limited my lists to top three. There are plenty of good players I considered listing as "Honorable Mention," but didn't want to just start listing every good player we've ever had.
PG: Terrell Brandon, Sam Cassell, Stephon Marbury
SG: Latrell Sprewell, Tony Campbell, Doug West
SF: Wally Szczerbiak, Tyrone Corbin, Chuck Person
PF: Kevin Garnett, Tom Gugliotta, Al Jefferson
C: Theo Ratliff, Rasho Nesterovic, Felton Spencer

Re: Best Wolves Ever, By Position
Theo Ratliff? Did he ever play for Minnesota when he was good? I'd gotta say that for me it would have to be.
PG: Marbury/Cassel/Brandon (Telfair will be on this list in the future)
SG: Spree/
SF: Garnett/Chuck Person (KG played the position for a few years here, so I'll list him at SF)
PF: Tom Gugliotta/Malik Sealy (honorable mention) (The reason I took liberties to list KG at SF, because Gug was a beast in Minnesota)
C: Rasho Nesterovic (I honestly don't remember anyone better then him, but I could be wrong. I would say couldabeen Kandiman if he wasn't a bust (which he was well before coming to Minnesota) but he was already a bum by the time he got to Minnesota.)

Re: Best Wolves Ever, By Position
Ratliff is in Minnesota now, and no, he was never here before. But he had a great first game, and if he plays the way he did, defending the middle, rebounding and blocking shots, well, that would be better than anyone we've ever had before at the position. Obviously, you can't really go off one game, but heck, this is the inernet. What's the difference?
You're right that KG did play SF--in fact, quite a lot. He also played that spot when we had guys like Joe Smith and LaPhonso Ellis at PF.
Malik Sealy rarely played PF, though. He was most often at SG/SF. And I wouldn't say that, with one good season and one decent one, he could make the list at any position over some other guys. He was a good player to have, but more a glue guy than anything else.

Re: Best Wolves Ever, By Position
Blount is the best Center we've ever had... Easily...
Cassell I think is the best PG ever on the wolves.. But it is very close between Marbury and Brandon too...
Wally is the best sf then person.
Best SG I wanna say is Rider... Then Spree... Then Davis...

A few debates.
Blount is only "easily" the best center if you're going off athleticism. In terms of rebounding, he was humiliatingly bad. In terms of shot-blocking, horribly average. In terms of effort, just atrocious. But he could look good, usually being a guy who'd have nice 10-point first quarters...then 3 more the rest of the game to finish with yet another 13-and-6 night. Rasho was a better combination of jumpshooting and shot-blocking, with mediocre rebounding. Big Felt Spencer was by far the most aggressive guy, but right when he was coming on, we drafted Longley, then traded him.
Cassell had the single-best PG season for the team, but his next season was a joke. He was hurt, yes, but he was also mailing in every game because he was a crybaby about his lack of extension.
Best SG as Rider...yikes. Most athletic and impressive scorer, sure. But what a tumor that guy was. I mean, he kicked a woman in the back after a press appearance that went wrong! KICKED HER IN THE BACK! Arguably the only player who could make me think I'd prefer Ricky Davis.

Re: Best Wolves Ever, By Position
Luther, you have some really good points about Cassell & Blount.
PG: Brandon, Marbury, Cassell (one good year, rest was garbage)
SG: Davis, Spree, Rider
SF: Wally, KG, Person
PF: KG, Googs, Jefferson
C: Nesterovic, Blount, Spencer (maybe until Theo Raliff, we're never known for centers)
6th man: Hoiberg, Mitchell, Sealy
Fan favorite: Hoiberg, Sealy
