Re: minny/ nets trade ?
Considering we're letting Green walk after this year, don't really want Walker and dump salary in the process, sure. In a heartbeat. Once Krstic's knee comes back, it would be an absolute steal.

Re: minny/ nets trade ?
I had pc broken until today...so i don't write in my favourite basket forum for a long time..! ...
However i have follow my t'wolves...and i'm exciting only for contribute of Telfair and Walker...
This trade according to me isn't a good idea...i believe that next year without the contract of Theo we can firm a good free agent...(Jamison....Arenas...!?!) which next year are free...
Bye bye from Rome Guys..!!! GO TIMBERWOLVES...!!!

Re: minny/ nets trade ?
This is another RealGM rumor, but I would do it.

This trade wouldn't affect the cap room we'll get from Theo's expiring deal, and in fact would free up more money by swapping Walker (in part) for the expiring Magloire. Either way, we're not going to have the cap room to sign a major player. We're committed to about $55 million, which only leaves a few million, depending on where the cap lands.

Re: minny/ nets trade ?
I wouldn't do this deal. It's trading Green for a 2nd round pick. No thanks.

Re: minny/ nets trade ?
You'd rather have Walker than Krstic, though? And with Green already (unfortunately) given-up-on, it barely matters what the team does with him.

Re: minny/ nets trade ?
I don't think we should be giving up on him though. He's played well for us when he's been given time. I don't understand the point in giving up on him so soon. It was rumored that during summer league McHale and Ainge spent some time together and McHale didn't like Green. Still doesn't. McHale never changes his mind on players.
Krstic is a good scorer but that's negated by his bad rebounding and bad defense. I'm not sure I'm giving up Green for 1 average player.

Re: minny/ nets trade ?
I definitely don't want to give up on Green; I was looking at this from the perspective of him basically already being gone. If the option would be including him vs. just letting him walk, I'd put him in this deal. If not dealing him meant we'd sign him to a reasonable deal and keep him, well, then I'd almost certainly nix the deal.
As for Krstic, I think he'd be an interesting complement to Jefferson, considering his finesse/skill offensive game from the high post. But you're right that his defense and rebounding are really below average. Hopefully he could improve to the point of being average, though. He is still pretty young.
