I've been watching Rashad McCants ever since he was in North Carolina, my question is how good can he become?

His stats right now are...

PPG: 14.3
RPG: 3.00
APG: 2.2
EFF: +10.00

Now those are some pretty solid numbers for a 2nd year player, can anyone see Rashad McCants getting to that 20 ppg margin? How good offensively and defensively do you see McCants three years from now in the prime years of most NBA players?

I still think Shad has big time potential, not just because of his skills but the main reason is his attitude.... he has the mentality of a star, hes aggressive, passionate and genuinly wants to be great.

Inconsistancy kills him at the moment, but i think he should finish the season pretty well and come out next season firing.

As for numbers i do see him having a few 20+ppg seasons, never be 'the man' on a team but a very good contributor, not to mention he can actually play some pretty solid D

Didn't he come off of microfracture surgery last yr, too?Virtually went unnoticed. Doing pretty well rather quickly.

He's one of my favorite players, but he seems like a team-killer to me. His attitude is awful.

From an outsiders opinion? 17 ppg, 4rpg, 3 apg.

He's definately not a 'team killer' with the right squad that attitude is a great thing, much like KG (obviously not to that extent)

McCants has that attitude but he doesn't back it up on the defensive end. Attitude is only tolerated if you back that up, like Payton and Garnett. If you talk a whole lot but only play well on offense, you just come off as an *******.

He has great defensive potential because he is so quick for how strong he is..

I think his D will improve, im just happy to see him on the court consistantly at the moment
