Player Expectations 2
Another week for the Player expectations and this week i'm choosing Ryan Gomes. What should we expect out of him this year? Will he be improved in all aspects of the game? Will he finally learn how to be a Small Forward? He's improved as a player each and every year, he's been in the league for 3 years so far.

Re: Player Expectations 2
Dunno whether the wolves will keep Gomes, there will be a lot of teams interested in signing him after a very solid season..
be a good guy to have coming off the bench for a playoff team.
hard to predict for next season, as his circumstances are unclear

He is definitely coming back, but I wont really know how he'll play till we finish the off-season. He could be starting, he could be off the bench.

Re: Player Expectations 2
Gomes reminds me of Sam Mitchell in the early years. Stuck somewhere between a SF and a PF, and seemingly someone you'd rather not play, but on game day, you always end up playing him a lot of minutes because he does do a lot of good things despite his limitations. I believe the Wolves will try hard to re-sign him (not wanting the KG trade to end up with just Al, and with Green already gone and Telfair seemingly lower on the priorities list), and hopefully won't break the bank. Anything up to about $3-4 million per year is in the high-end of what I'd offer. But as for his stats, I think they've peaked--or at least hope they have. We drafted Brewer to fill that spot, and he needs more time. Foye and McCants will be at the SG, where Gomes played some last year. Al obviously has PF, unless we end up small again. I look for about 11 ppg, 4 rpg and 1.5 apg, and hopefully a good, smart floor game in a bench role.

Re: Player Expectations 2
Is that a hint Avalanche on what player I should have on the next segment of the Player Expectations?

I was planning on saving him for the grand finale, the last player we have. But I don't know...I might leave Randy Foye for last.
