Obviously a lot of Timberwolves fans are excited about this summer, as am I. We already got a fringe all-star, and should be able to grab at least one more. However, I have some serious reservations about whether or not Minnesota is actually going to use TB's contract to bring in extra bodies.

Just look at the salary breakdown:

Garnett - $22mil
Wally - $10 mil
Cassell - $7 mil
Olo $5mil
Jackson - $5 mil
Hudson - $2mil
Ebi - $1 million

Will Taylor pay the tax?

I think Taylor currently will pay whatever it takes to put together a better team in order to convince KG to sign an extention here (hopefully with some kind of pay-cut). The Wolves can't afford to lose KG. They should know that they will be losing a lot more than some saving luxury tax should they lose KG.

Hopefully Rasho sees that he would hate to play in NY, an/or he doesn't want to leave MN so maybe a little smaller than that like $5-6 mil.
