Love, 23, who missed the Wolves' last seven games this season with a concussion, has been working out in Los Angeles. He is among 18 players who will compete July 6-12 in Las Vegas
for 12 roster spots on coach Mike Krzyzewski's team.

"I expect him to make the team, but I say that knowing I have no say in it," Kahn said. "But based on the year that he had, and the fact that he performed well in a reserve role for them last time (in the FIBA World Championship), I hope not only does he make it, but has a prominent role. But that will be up to Krzyzewski and his coaches and the powers that be."

Love was an NBA all-star again this season, averaging 26 points and 13.3 rebounds in 55 games. He averaged 5.6 points and 4.8 rebounds for the U.S. team that won the gold medal in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Istanbul, Turkey.

Good to hear he's recovering well. I also think he's a must pick for team USA, if he's at full speed.

That international ball is all about spreading the floor and shooting, so he'd be the best pick possible at PF IMO.
