Utah lost more than the game on Tuesday Dec 17th at Utah St. Senior Britton Johnson torn ligaments in his thumb in the first minute of the game. He played 34 minutes anyway. He had surgery on the thumb Wednesday and is out for 3-4 weeks. This a huge blow for undermanned Utah. The team only has 9 healthy scholarship players until Britton returns. 4 of those are redshirt or true freshmen and another is a sophomore who prior to the season had played a total of 125 minutes 2+years ago.
