I included conference stats because I think they count for more with the voters.
POY - Ruben Douglas New Mexico - 26.2(32.5 in MWC) PPG, 5.9(6.8) RPG. Wont get because team sucks.
MVP - Britton Johnson, Uche Nsonwu-Amadi or Rafael Araujo
Newcomer- Rafael Araujo 16.3 PPG 9.7 RPG in MWC play
Coach - Rick Majerus

Mine
POY: Douglas...too bad it doesnt mean crap for UNM.
MVP: Uche Nsonwu-Amadi. Might give this one to Britton here, but WYO lost their best player and are still undefeated in conf. play, mainly in part to this guy...likely to change soon though...have beaten the scrubs of the conference by the skin of their teeth.
Newcomer: Rafael Araujo...really the only newcomer making a big splash.
Coach: Rick Majerus.

I agree with you that Ruben deserves it, but like you said, he has no chance..but he scored 39 against BYU today including 19 straight for UNM.

If they keep winning and he continues to put up these numbers how about Utah PG, Marc Jackson, for POY. Without him they wouldn't have won 4-5 conference games. It is just the numbers either. He makes big plays when they need it. Utah was struggling last night in the 1st half and he came in and scored 8 straight and gave Utah a lead it never gave up. He hit some very clutch free throws to ice the BYU game. If the MWC had a 6th man award he would definitely get it and he is without question the MVP on Utah.
Conference only numbers
16.4 PPG (#7)
3.9 RPG
3.0 APG (#7)
60.9 FG% (#4)
60.0 3PT% (#1)
88.7 FT% (#4)

The Deseret News' Dick Harmon's thoughts. Harmon is probably the most knowledgeable columnist on BYU and has great contacts and sources within BYU sports.

I thought about posting it for you when I posted his mid season thoughts but hadn't got to it. It looks like you found it anyway.
