Does anyone think that Evan Burns will be the player of the year during his playing tenure at SDSU? HE's probably the most athletic player in MWC as a freshman. He can occasionally step out and hit the three(but is inconsistent). If he improves his shooting, defense, and passing skills all a little bit, there's no question in my mind that he can be the best player in the Mountain West by his junior year(unless if Utah or another school can get a HUGE recruit).

I laugh at this statement because he actually thought about entering the draft. This is a great assesment of him dmilesai, but this guy just over stated his ability. I'm glad he humbled himself and went to college

I doubt he'll get it next season, b/c he'll only be a soph (last soph I remember winning it was Van Horn) and I think that Nick Jake or Tim Frost will win it.

No question he has the talent...I see him winning a POY in the MWC.

He was named Freshman of the Year. I think it would be a shock if he doesn't win it at least once unless he leaves early. I think he has a chance next year. He will be the go to guy next year right? The only negative I see is there does seem to be some Utah bias and/or SDSU hate. Last year Holcomb really should have been Player of thr Year over Britton Johnsen.
