1280 KZN sports radio is reporting that Marc Jackson quit the university of Utah team. I didn't hear any reason or where he might transfer. I also can find no official link. Has anyone seen a link?

Several people called in to KZN and said that Jackson and Majerus were feuding and that what lead to him leaving. One those people claimed to be a friend of Jackson. Travis Hansen from BYU said that Britton Johnson told him that Majerus and Jackson were fighting about Jackson being late for a meeting. All of this is hear say but it is the best info I can find right now.

Man, I love Majerus, but I'm getting pretty sick of all the players who have just quit the team or transferred because of him...6 in the last two years!

Jackson was the 2nd-3rd best player on our team this year. He killed the opposition the first time he played against them, and was one of the few who played with balls. Our point guard situation finally looked good for the future with two very good players both capable of being good starters.

I think he was the team MVP. If he had been healthy all year he would have been the best player. The articles below say that he left on good terms, wants to concentrate on school and future career and doesn't want to play basketball anymore. They also say that he isn't going to transfer. I don't believe that this is about graduating sooner and not wanting to play basketball. I think there is more to the story. It will be interesting to see if he transfers.

I'd be stunned if it wasn't because of Majerus.


Osimani left last year because he was "homesick" but now is playing at Duquesne.


It seems like the majority of the talented guards Majerus gets transfer away from Utah. Whiting...Osimani...Jackson...
