Ha. Fortunately, it's not the focus of the game. If you ever have a chance to play it, Knights of the Old Republic has one of the best stories ever told in a video game.

I wanted to love that game, so much more. Don't get me wrong I loved both of them great stories but i hated with a passion the turn based fighting. Great stories great characters but i never got used to the fighting. I just personally don't like those kinda games.

I'm not a huge fan of turn-based fighting either, but I thought the combat got more fun as you got more force powers and the like. Still, the story... wow. I've never felt so involved in a video game.

What was fun with the force powers was after i beat it once i played it again a while later with cheats on and had every power as high as it could go. Oh man so cool.

I just noticed when Anakin was going to kill all of the sand people the women had burka-like head garments. Sure they would want to keep the sand out but I think it went a bit far.

You should try out Fable. It's a little bit on the easy side as far as video games go and there's only one difficulty setting (which sucks) but the story is fantastic.

I have it. I never thought the story was that fantastic but the game itself was very entertaining.

One reason to take Star Wars movies with a grain of salt even if quasi-religious or political: Indiana Jones. Very, very entertaining movies, and not shallow, but not contemplative to a large extent. Hero has a journey and succeeds.

Art critic Camille {...} calls Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith one of the greatest works of art in recent history. Seriously.

The long finale of Revenge of the Sith has more inherent artistic value, emotional power, and global impact than anything by the artists you name. It's because the art world has flat-lined and become an echo chamber of received opinion and toxic over-praise. It's like the emperor's new clothes -- people are too intimidated to admit what they secretly think or what they might think with their blinders off...

I had considered using Japanese anime for the digital art chapter of the book, but it lacked the overwhelming operatic power and yes, seriousness of Lucas's Revenge of the Sith.

Little-known sci-fi fact: Toshiro Mifune turned down Vader role

It's a well-known fact that Lucas was heavily influenced by filmmaker Akira Kurosawa when crafting his space opera. Slightly less known was that Lucas was interested in casting one of Kurosawa's favorite actors, Toshiro Mifune, in the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

But what we didn't know is that Mifune wasn't only up for the role of Kenobi. In fact, according to Mifune's daughter, Mika Mifune, Lucas was so desperate to have Toshiro on board that he offered him the role of Darth Vader. In fact, the Vader helmet was supposedly designed with Toshiro in mind, save for one important detail—there would have been no mask.

How might that have changed things?
