I haven't seen ROTS, so ranking the other five:

1. Return Of The Jedi
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. A New Hope
...
4. Attack Of The Clones
5. The Phantom Menace

If Revenge Of The Sith were superior to any of the first three movies, that would be great. So far, the most recent two don't even approach the original three, in my opinion.

Now that I've seen Revenge Of The Sith, I can render my final rankings:

1. Return Of The Jedi
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. A New Hope
4. Revenge Of The Sith
5. Attack Of The Clones
6. The Phantom Menace

It wasn't as good as any of the original three, in my opinion, but it bridged the gap between the latest movies and the original cycle.

This one if probaly the best in the series imo.

1. Revenge of the Sith
2. Empire Strikes Back
3. Return of the Jedi
4. Phantom Menace
5. Return of the Jedi
6. Attack of the Clones

I think people overrate the first trilogy because of the nostalgia factor. If all of these 6 were released in a string in chronological order, just like they are now, I think Revenge of the Sith is the best in everyones opinion. This one is the best imo.

This wrapped up things alot for me, makes you understand the last 3 better. When my parents first took me to the theaters when I was 6 or 7 to see A New Hope, I had no idea what was going on, now it makes more sense.

Also the videogames for this movie on DS/PS2 are great.

He said about 7 time at the beginning of the movie he wouldn't let here die.

The scene intercutting scene between the two was the writing on the wall.

Well, I agree somewhat that people overrate the first trilogy (though not that all three weren't better than the new ones). However, I think that nostalgia only helps the modern trilogy. If it wasn't for the cultural phenomenon of the movies that came before them, the new ones wouldn't be particularly notable.

Christensen and Portman may be pretty, but their acting was the only drawback for me in this one. I also thought if the last scene of the movie switched from Luke Skywalker's new parents holding him in the sunset to the Vader mask being put on Anakin, it would have been jaw dropping. The last thing you hear is Vader breathing, and suddenly it cuts to the credits.

I don't think Portman and Christensen can be grouped. While Portman is attractive, Christensen is not. While both had to deal with some bad dialogue, it seemed like all of the lines written for Portman were horrible, whereas all of the lines Christensen delivered were horrible because he was the one delivering them. He's just really really bad at everything.
