Re: Indiana Jones 4 Thread
Terrible movie. Went with my wife and 4 other people. After the first half hour, me and my buddy figured out we couldnt walk out, so we went to my truck for 45 minutes and got drunk.
I laughed at the "I like Ike" comment, and the first couple Greaser jokes before it was way over used. I had only walked out of one movie before this. Pretty hard to be worse than Solaris. "Where is doctor Jabarian?" |

Re: Indiana Jones 4 Thread
Damn, that's brutal R-Star. I don't think I've ever walked out of a movie, but a true testament of this movie will be this weekend. It did 300+ worldwide and 151 here. Will Indy break 200? If so it would be a roaring success. I mean it's a roaring success now, but once you break 200+ domestic, you tend to be a big winner.

I have to agree though. If they go 200+, it wouldnt matter if it was the worst movie ever, it will be viewed as a roaring success. |

Re: Indiana Jones 4 Thread
I guess I didn't mind the movie... I wasn't expecting Citizen Kane... just some action and a few Indiana Jones one-liners... the tree swinging was stupid... the movie was generally was corny/cheesy (mmm popcorn... pretzels with cheese... sorry, got distracted... I guess I remember the food I ate at the theater more than the movie)... that's all true.
Do you guys really think it was substantially worse than the other ones? |

Re: Indiana Jones 4 Thread
Nothing could be "substantially worse" than Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. You really need to sink down to Night of the Lepus to be substantially worse than that hunk of festering limburger.

Re: Indiana Jones 4 Thread
True, but Short Round provided a character ripe for parody for years to come.

"You call him Dr. Jones, Doll."
Still Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of the best movies of all time. Somehow they got 3 more movies out of it. Not sure how.

Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and don't underestimate the power of a John Williams score.

You're right, Night of the Lepus isn't substantially worse than Temple of Doom. Thanks for correcting me.

Re: Indiana Jones 4 Thread
I just watched this the other night... I really don't understand how they could think shia labouf swinging on vines back to the truck is a good idea. The first half was good, the 2nd half completely through me off.

Kali Ma Shakti De!
Anyway, Indy 4 is probably one of the 20 worst movies of all-time. What an absolute mess. For Ford, this is like what Battlefield Earth was for Travolta. |
