I loved the casual conversation between Dexter and the mob boss who will now be hunting him. I loved the playful beginning to what almost certainly will be Dexter's next relationship (Hanna). I loved the kind of tailspin Quinn could possibly go into after something awful happens to his new stripper girlfriend. I loved that Batista doesn't want to be a cop anymore. I am actually excited about almost every single plotline this season. That is an impressive feat.

They never explained why the guy was as crazy as he was. They never explained his real issue with Dexter. He had the hand BEFORE Dexter hated on his video-game. That wasn't the reason. Additionally, the way he dies is just so damn lame.

I think the blood left behind on the boat is going to cause him some trouble.

I don't think it was that obvious considering it was a half second shot during the season preview. It's really lame imo, pulling the "it's all a dream" card. If they're going to do this then for the next season promo they should just have martians landing on earth abducting people. It was a lame attempt at drawing interest.

The thing with Louis is that the writers made the character really interesting and to just hastily kill it off seems like a big waste to me.

Whatever. It's simple logic that Masuka isn't going to die. Let alone in his own station - which I could tell - via stabbed in the throat especially. And your over the top example is nowhere near the ball park on that. You've seen quite a few dream scenarios on the show already, too.

I just never bought into Louis as anything big or expected something more - even when they tried to raise questions with the hand. He was a subplot. Nothing more.

Just one more thing on Louis. He must be the most unlucky guy in the world considering of all the possible times to sabotage a boat he ended up running into a pack of Russian mobsters. The whole thing just seems forced imo.

It's also the basis of about 90% of all books & movies. Coincidence is the meat of storytelling. Mystic River is a shining example of this. Hapless Dave beats an ephebophile to death the same night that Jimmy's daughter is murdered, driving the plot in the process.

That's the basis of almost every single promo video in visual media today. You've gotten to the meat of the concept behind promos, here. Draw interest by any means necessary regardless of whether or not the images are important lot point or insignificant dream sequences.

That doesn't mean that it's not badly done. There are a lot of bad shows out there and there are a bunch of terrible promos. Even with that said to make a preview out of something that was just a dream just seems really lame.

I'm glad he didn't go out on Dexter's table, like most would have thought. That's too much of a ritual to kill this little shit. Him being killed as a matter of convenience is very fitting.

After 5 great episodes especially Run (ending was mesmerizing) and these last 2 previous I never commented on - we get that pile of crap this past week in Do The Wrong Thing.

This yr's Nebraska episode.
