Re: Dexter

Dexter Season One is one of the better seasons of television I've ever seen. Didn't get much into Season 2, but I loved Season 1.

Re: Dexter

Dexter is easily one of my favorite shows. Last season was great with John Lithgow (in a Golden Globe winning role)as the villian.

Re: Dexter

Season one of Dexter is great, season two is good, I wasn't a fan of season three, season four, on the other hand, was great. It's well worth watching to the bloody end...

Re: Dexter

I'd rank the seasons:

Season Two, Season One, Season Four, Season Three.

Things were too easy in season three but I'm such a huge fan of Jimmy Smits and he played the *******/monster role to perfection. It was just extremely fun to watch. I liked Season Four a lot, but the ending didn't really hit me like it hit other people.. probably because it's something I wanted to happen for at least two seasons.

Re: Dexter

Dexter is a fun show, even though it's glorified popcorn w/ mostly 1-D characters. That said, Michael C. Hall is the ****ing man, and it's hard not to watch a show where he is starring.

Re: Dexter

every season of dexter has been great, but i think they peaked last season and i am absolutely pumped about next season and i think it is one of if not the best show on tv right now.... i would also recommend to any dexter fan to read the books, they are very good and completely different from the show

Re: Dexter

I got through the first season and a couple episodes of the second and never finished it. I loved what I saw and found it pretty entertaining.

Re: Dexter

Season one was very Dexterish in the book sense. In fact, I would argue that the closing scene of season one is the most fitting tribute to the books there could be. I suppose my problem with season two was that I'd already seen Mr. Brooks and the whole "serial killer at AA" thing did nothing for me. But Jaime Murray's nekkidness was certainly a selling point.

Showtime bought the rights to the first book and all of the characters, you're right about it being similar to season one but after that showtimes writers took over using jeff lindsays characters in their own right, the rest of the books are different

This. And Dexter's character has virtually the same basic story line each season.
