Not sure of what to think of this season so far. I honestly thought Boyd was going to be the big supporting role this season.

Now, it just looks like the current season of Weeds...a show with no direction.

Man, as of right now this is a bad show. lol

It's also funny how the episode recaps at the beginning of each episode are more compelling than anything that's happened in a single episode. Oh and that cop who obviously has some ties to the head chopping murders.. she has a fat ass. So I'm not mad at their lazy writing to get her on screen.

This reminds me a lot of season 2 without the redeeming value of Jamie Murray (the crazy hawt English chick). The "Dexter recovering" storyline is about as compelling as the "Dexter in rehab" one. As of now the only real thing to look forward to is the evisceration of Julia Stiles, which the screenwriters are probably going to deny us. The Santa Muerte killer is much less compelling, so far, than season 3's Skinner.

^ I hated that pale stick Brit..Jamie Murray..ugh..she was annoying in Season 2.

I was really hoping for Quinn's path with Dexter comes across. Now, it looks like Lumen and Dexter might become a couple, since she's more damaged than Rita was.

Anyway, the best part of this season is clearly April Hernandez. Not even close.

Dexter tracking down some serial killing human traffickers could be interesting I guess. Depends on how it's written because it's outside the typical Dexter thing.

JULIA STYLES IS AN AWFUL ACTRESS. How this bitch still gets work is beyond me. She has ruined Dexter. It's painful to watch her try to force out a tear when she's on camera. The fact that she's the main storyline makes this season a big snoozefest. Every "next week's episode" looks like it's going to be great and then it's boring as ****. God she is AWFUL.

^ hmm..I don't agree with your sentiments on Julia Stiles. She's alright, and best in a supporting role. However, the storyline for this season is kinda boring surrounding Lumen's character.

This season, more than any other, I'm pissed that they ditched Darkly Dreaming Dexter's ending. I find myself rooting by the episode for either Angel or LaGuerta to buy it.

The season has been gawdawful and is getting worse. They should have used a little more forethought and built Quinn up as a villain last year if they intended to use him in that role.

Hibachi!

After how amazing season 4 I was I am severely disappointed. Julia Styles is awful and I don't care about her. Quinn is just annoying, and not nearly as cool basically playing the character as Dokes. The other beheading storyline is incredibly boring without Dexter on the trail. All in all this has just been plain awful and it doesn't seem like they can change it for the better.

Yeah, the machete killer(s) is pretty boring. I don't really even watch it, mostly I'm staring at the hot little latina cop.

The one redeeming scene of this episode, Masuka giving his theory of the crime, got short-circuited by Dexter's monologue. And I think I've finally put my finger on something that's pissing me off about this season. They've almost completely lost the black humour of the character. We should have been treated to Masuka explaining things in both words and gestures, with Dexter making acerbic remarks for the audience. Instead we got a long winded speech about the evidence all being filed, which we could have figured out on our own.
