I'm guessing the only ones hating on the trailer are the hardcore Iron Man fans, because as a casual fan and from a movie watcher's perspective I think it looks tight. Not as good as the Spiderman ones, but definitely nice.

Oh, and I enjoyed the Hulk.

Transformers sucked and Michael Bay is the worst director EVER. That is clear, and if anyone disagrees with that statement, they should be banned from this thread forever. He pissed on my childhood and should be castrated on a mountain of army ants.

I haven't been able to watch the trailer cause of some problems my comp has been having with quicktime...but this thread has been fully entertaining Keep it up people.

There was only one Boondock Saints as far as I know and it is a really good movie.

Doesn't change the fact that every movie Bay directs is pretty much Bad Boys II with more special effects. The Island... Transformers... It's the same damn **** with different characters. The spinning camera angle, the same damn car chase sequence...

Hey Optimus, let's convoy and get that cube into the city. Hey Optimus great timing on joining the fight, but where the hell did you go? Did you get lost for 30 minutes? How do you get lost on a 20 minute drive on the freeway? You can follow a beacon across the universe, but you get lost driving into town? The Autobots could have used you help.... especially Jazz.

As for the special effects, it would have been nice if they actually showed a shot for more than two seconds! The effects were wasted on watching the Autobots hid all over the guys backyard while the kid kept shouting "Not my dad's garden! No! You can't be there!"

After watching the teaser I am with JMK in his belief that Tom Cruise would've been much much much better than Robert Downey Jr in this role.

This will be my first post after about a week hiatus (I got a new job working like 9-10 during the weekdays), but I really do think it could go either way. Favreau isn't some slob who doesn't know how to make movies. Hell, he took a kid's movie and turned into a fantastic film (Elf). He seems like he'll be working within the original material which is always a plus. I dunno, I'll give it a shot. It won't be The Dark Knight but it won't be Daredevil either. Probably a little better than the FF movies.
