If you want to include graphic novels, I would say Sin City is tops. As for pure comic book movies, though, I'd rank the top 3 as the following:

1. X2
2. Batman Begins
3. Spiderman 2

I flat out loved Sin City.......I ranked Spidey ahead of Batman Begins and X2 though.

In what way? To me, the X-movies are not really extensions of the comics, but simply an adaption. As for the acutal plots, which is what you said were horrible; what was so bad about them to you?

Iron Man, if made in our lifetime, may be the most kick-*** movie ever. For years I've heard Tom Cruise wants no part of this, but recently I've heard he's very interested, but it's got to be done his way, which I have no problem with. I can barely imagine Iron Man on the screen. It would be unreal.

Tom Cruise was kind of born to play Tony Starks.

Have you read the Ultimates? The last tpb Gods and Monsters is bananas. One of the best things I've read from the caped crusader type books in awhile. Made me into a big Thor fan.

As for topic comic book movies, if you're including Sin City, don't you have to start talking about things like Ghost World and American Splendor? To say nothing of if you start including Manga. Hell, A History of Violence is based on a comic. So was Road to Perdition.

I'm am all about the Batman Begins over here, I can't wait for them to make more.

I kinda remember the first Xmen being alright, and I don't think I ever got around to the second one, but I think I might considering how strongly some of you guys feel about it. I've got nothing against them making a third, and Hugh plays a kick *** Wolverine, so lets just hope the spin off doesn't crap out.

Damn I can't wait for the next Batman.

That's why I didn't include Sin City. I constitute comics and graphic novels as two seperate things.

As for Iron Man, have you been reading Invincible Iron Man? I'm pretty sure the artist based Stark directly off of Tom Cruise. Pretty sweet art, too. Half digital, half real.

i didnt like batman begins, so i would put spidey in at #2. there are a lot of movies i would put before batman. F4 is the first one that comes to mind.


as far as being huge xmen fan and loving all the original plots, it kinda sucks that the movie isnt true to them. the way the comic was with each player have a long history and their own episodes and own enemies, it cant be made into a movie.


they need to get all these actors and actresses to make a xmen series for a network that doesnt suck. they should use a more true to the original plot for it to. it could never happen, but just imagine.

Fantastic Four? Re...really?

Now, if you look at some of my early posts of Begins, I hated it. I was extremely brutal towards it. Then I watched it a few more times. And a few more times again. And I love it. It stays extremely true to the source material and produces a great movie in turn.

You know, I'm totally fine with you not liking Begins, but Fantastic Four? C'mon now.
