Nah. He's a stupid character. I'm a Rogue fan, and the desire of writers to put those two together solely on the basis of their accents and no actual real reasonable chemistry damaged the Rogue character quite a bit from developing as she should have(though under Mike Carey we've had a Rogue-Renaissance).

Plus how can you take a character seriously who has such a transparently fake accent?

I think Deadpool is more entertaining, and more interesting.

Anyone want to start a petition for a Deadpool movie? Come to think of it, there must be one already....

Can I give you negative rep? Gambit? Cool? Gambit is solely a Wolverine knock-off to some extent and largely a product of comic book readers all desiring to be the bad-***, man with no name and a dark past. Seriously, tell me one thing about Gambit that makes him interesting. He uses exploding cards. He used to be a thief. He sounds like a third-rate Batman villain.

No offense HB, you are a cool guy, but your views on Gambit are skewed.

Re: Wolverine unleashes Gambit.

His demeanor, his story, his decisions. Even the rocky relationship he has with Rogue is touching. We all know there is no way it can work, but its just interesting to watch as he keeps trying. I dont even see the batman comparison. Gambit isnt a vigilante, he isnt pushed by some event or fate to protect the innocent. I wouldn't even call him a hero. He is just a guy who tries to do whats right and sometimes falls flat on his face. Besides the staff and exploding cards are pretty cool.

Exactly my point. His demeanor is simply cajun. His story is that he was a super-cool thief. And I said third-rate Batman villain, i.e., that a guy who throws exploding cards and is named Gambit sounds like a character who should be featured in a fill-in Detective Comics arc or something. The only reason Gambit is popular is because he was on the cartoon show and the only reason he wasn't the worst one was because the show also decided to feature the craptastic character of Jubilee who isn't even a mutant anymore.

By the way, the new Wolverine & The X-Men cartoon sounds promising. I don't watch cartoons anymore (well except for all the old stuff I've downloaded) but I've heard good things about Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine & The X-Men which hopefully is creating a whole new generation of nerds.

Re: Wolverine unleashes Gambit.

Whats wrong with being cajun? The reason why Gambit is popular is because he is a COOL character, not just because he was featured in the cartoon. You guys are hating simply because he has a great accent and he gets all the chicks

Yeah the new Spiderman cartoon is the ****. Since I moved to Chicago have been able to catch it. Their Venom arc was beautiful, shoulda been used in Spiderman 3. Marvel has a ton of animated projects coming out. Black Panther, New X-men, Incredible Hulk and Iron Man I believe. Gotta start reintroducing those characters to a new generation.

The new Batman on WB isnt bad either, I heard there's another one coming out too, supposedly aimed at an adult audience

Jubilee didn't suck. I think she gets a bad rap because she took the spot on the X-Men while Kitty Pryde was relegated toe Excalibur.

Man the love for some of my least favorite X-characters is confusing. Next, people will say they loved Onslaught. Hey, you guys love who you guys love, and that's cool, but if there is a story featuring Gambit and Jubilee, I'm passing. Although, I did enjoy the X-Men cartoon.

Jubilee was a nice supporting character. She can't stand alone but works well off of other people.

I don't really like Gambit too much either, but I don't like Venom, Wolverine and those kind of characters either.

It had it's moments especially when Alan Davis was on the title.

You know it's raw when someone records trailers on a camera and upload it on the internet. There's also a link to part two. Looks a lot better than I would've thought based off of the pics alone.
