Whoever it is, I think they will be the known commodity to the public publicly opposed to batman, or out to get batman in that manner.

I could see Bane, if you have a story where he's out to get batman, but there would have to be a viable story underneath what he shows to the public.

Hoffman has gone on record to say he doesn't think he'd be a great penguin, and he'd rather see someone else play the role. That can be taken at face value, or it could be deflection, or he could be saying that thinking he may not be able to pull it off - not wanting to ruin a series.

It sure will be tough, don't expect this film to be out until 2013 or so. More than enough time for everyone to work on other projects

I just want to warn you that by saying Catwoman isn't a true villain you will now have essbee bring his all-knowing wrath down upon you. Just get ready for three or four pages of "You're so stupid" posts.

If there's another, I doubt it'll take til 2013. It'll most likely be out in 2011. Nolan won't wait that long, and it also fits the pattern of every 3 yrs.

Part of me thinks there might not be another one though. He's a believer in that sequels have to top the previous one. So, it'd have to be a damn great story.

Just a quick thought:

We've covered extensively pretty much every Batman villain and why they won't work for the third movie: Joker(actor dead), Two-Face(dead), Scarecrow(done), Ra's(done), Mr. Freeze(not realistic), Bane(boring strongman), The Riddler(too similar to Joker), Catwoman(not a real villain), etc.

So why not let Nolan come up with his own villain. It's not like any casual ticket purchaser really knew who Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow were as far as Batman villains. I have a feeling Nolan could come up with an amazing, realistic villain that fits perfectly within the Batman mythos and within in his "realistic" universe.

Is there a drawback to this? I'm sure Nolan would love the opportunity and probably guarantee he'd sign on for a third film.

I think it's a great idea, but maybe I'm blinded by my own certainty of my own ideas. What do you guys think?

I am sticking to my guns. Hush is the ideal villain for the next Batman movie. There's nothing supernatural about him. His story fits very well into what Nolan likes to do.

as far as the next batman villain goes, I would like to see Grendel. but realistically he would have to be paired with a villain who has a bit more flair...perhaps some supernatural foe would do the trick.
