Jason Statham and Frank Miller to do Daredevil sequel?

Quote:
Another Daredevil film could be on the way...

Jason Statham (Transporter) is making it known that he wants to play Daredevil in a potential sequel to the 2003 film in which Ben Affleck played the lead.

"Absolutely, just give me the chance, I would love to be Daredevil."

Frank Miller, who worked on the character in the 80s with Marvel, says he thinks Statham would make a great Daredevil.

"I think he should be Daredevil too."

Both want to work with each other on a potential sequel to the 2003 Daredevil.

All i can say is YES PLEASE

I don't know about this movie, but I just love that Frank Miller is getting all these opportunities to direct films after the Robert Rodgriguez/DGA fiasco. Good for him.

Re: Jason Statham and Frank Miller to do Daredevil sequel?

I'd be very interested as long as the movie doesn't appear (from the trailers) to be a corny typical superhero flick.

Statham >>> Affleck
Miller >>> Johnson

Actually, Transporter isn't bad for a meaningless action flick (if you can get past the insipid Qi Shu, you can well understand why Matt Schultze wants to kill her, what's incomprehensible is why Statham wants to save her). And The Bank Job was very good. However I'll grant Transporter 2 & 3 (I know that it hasn't been released yet, but it's going to suck like Lindsay Lohan underneath the DJ table), Crank 1 & 2 (I know that it hasn't been released yet, but it's going to suck like an eager altar boy), Death Race (who the **** got the bright idea to remake Death Race 2000 and make it even worse?), In the Name of the King and The Brazilian Job (I know that it hasn't been released yet, but it's going to suck like Tom Cruise backstage at a Chippendales show).

Umm NO to Statham as Daredevil. I actually liked Affleck in the role. Bring him back if they wanna redo it. I mean come on, Statham acting blind is going to be hilarious.

You must not have any clue whatsoever about the film industry and how it operates, or how people react to film.

Knicks fans, can you imagine what Jennings is going to do to you? He’s gonna be slicing through that defense like V for Vendetta. Then, after the game, he’s gonna slice through security and find Donnie Walsh and stab him in the damn heart.

I guess Kobe feels like averaging 30 again. At this point, he’s like Keanu at the end of the first Matrix. He became who he was supposed to be and now he’s just gonna do whatever he wants.

Do educate me then on how Statham is supposed to deliver a believable Daredevil performance?

For what it's worth, Affleck isn't looking to stand in front of the camera anymore. At the time of Hollywoodland's release he said that in the future he was going to be extremely selective about film roles (as in don't count on him making many). He's more interested in directing these days.

My point is about Affleck reprising the role, and not Statham taking over the role.

Yes, he's about 85% director now. He knows his days as a big draw are over.
