I don't really remember the Hulk movie but I don't recall it being overly cheesy. I know I liked the first Ironman and Captain America. I hated Thor cause I thought that was too kiddy as well.

There were way too many supposedly "funny" moments. I can stomach the punchlines coming from Stark, cause that's who he is but that's about it.

Remember when Thor was all "He's my brother!" and they explained that Loki had killed a bunch of people and then he quickly says "He's adopted." The whole cinema was laughing and I was like

I hope this mean Whedon can get the chance to direct some non-Marvel movies in the future now that this is a blockbuster hit.

I laughed.

Seems like most superhero movies have been moving towards "gritty realism" and trying to make them darker, while this movie just wanted to have fun.

I actually thought that most of the movies leading up to this one were average at best, except the first Iron Man, so maybe I just had low expectations. But this one was easily my favorite of all of them.



But I still can't wait for Batman.

i think people dont get that the Marvel movies are not The Dark Knight and never tried or wanted to be.

The Dark Knight killed comic book movies. Now when everyone goes to see one they expect a Gritty/Dark Oscar worthy movie. They cant just go have fun with a good summer comic book movie

A lot of the time, comic books are silly, and some of the jokes are corny. That's the world of comics. You either embrace it or you complain about it. Can you imagine a gritty Thor movie? Please.

I can't argue with that. You know, since I've never read the comic books.

But it's faithfulness to the books isn't the only criteria by which the movie should be judged. I just couldn't get into the movie that much.

That's my point. This isn't The Departed we're talking about, here. It's freaking Captain America! If you want Scarface or The Godfather, watch those movies instead. It supposed to be exaggerated and accessible to children. That's the idea!

Great film! I was very, very pleasently surprised!

Couple of "minuses":

- A black Nick Fury;
- Cap's uniform;
- Hawkeye and Black Widow in place of the Pyms;

But all in all (and yes, the constant humour was a little strange, even if it worked well) an excelent "superhero" movie.

Next: Thanos! CAn't wait!
