I would feel the same regarding a black Thor, or a black Cap, or a white Luke Cage, or a white Ororo Monroe.

Yes, it matters to you that they look like they do in the comics. I don't think you needed to clarify that.

But it's not like they made the Hulk pink or something.

Would you rather a white actor play him even if he wasn't as good as Sam Jackson?

Note: I have no idea how good he was at portraying the comic version of Nick Fury.

No, I actually don't get it because you still haven't explained yourself. When Will Smith was in negotiations to play Captain America at the beginning of the process, I thought it was a great idea. This is coming from someone quite loyal to the original source material.

I truly want to know why you are uncomfortable with those things.

I agree completely. In fact, I think thats the biggest thing missing from spider-man movies. Spidey is a trash talking jester in the comics, why not reflect that in his movies

I get what he's saying. Like your Cap analogy. You put will Smith in there and you're telling me they aren't going to change the character at all? He goes from a guy who was frozen for decades and is lost, confused and out of touch, to a witty super solider throwing one liners and winning everyone over with charm. That's not cap.

I always hated Fury anyways, and I hate Sam Jackson just as much ever since abortions like Snakes on a Plane and black snake moan.

You can't tell me you wouldn't be weirded out if the next X-Men movie Storm is played by Katie Holmes or something.

Not very good but that is manly i think because we really havent seen much from the character.

I dont read much Marvel anymore. But i think they just introduces Nick Fury son who is black and take over for Nick Fury when he retires. And even changes his name to Nick Fury Jr

I didn't spend more than 20 years reading the comics, and loving the Marvel (and to a lesser extent, the DC Comics) franchise and it's superheros to be open or even understand changes like those.
A black Cap? What for?
A white Storm? WTF!

I undestand a little tinkering around the original source material (eventually for better cinematic achievment), but nothing as drastic as changing a caracter's skin color, or gender, or sexual preference, or whatever.

Nick Fury was a hard-nosed-war-veteran-cigar-smoking-hard-ass. And white. Samuel Jackson (who is a great actor, imho) is NOT Nick Fury.

Oh, come on, Old Geezer! Since the first time the Mistic Cube (sp?) was introduced you didn't immediately think of Thanos?

Meh. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have a hard time seeing them pull off Thanos. Any Thanos story arch I've read has guys like Galactus, Captain Marvel, Nova, Drax, etc. I just don't see it working.

Would be awesome if they could pull it off, but I don't see it.
