The smart thing is for Medellin to suck, but the writers are too gutless, yes, gutless, to paint themselves into that kind of corner. Remember: Head On was supposed to get bad reviews and then at the very end it got good ones, Queens Blvd was supposed to ruin Vince's career and didn't, Vince was supposed to be a dead commodity after filming Queens Blvd but out of nowhere he's wanted for Aquaman, he was supposed to have made a huge mistake gambling away Tapping The Source for a chance at Aquaman but he was offered the job, Aquaman was supposed to fall apart but didn't, Aquaman was supposed to have a lousy opening weekend but instead had the biggest opening ever, and Medellin was supposed to be a dead project. They never let Vince just suffer and look really stupid for an extended period of time, like all real actors have to go through. It's male sexual fantasy, I understand, but come on, let's let the characters grow a little bit. They have a great opportunity to do it here, but unhappy endings are just so... unhappy! It's just much easier to keep the "Vince sold his soul to the Devil" brain-dead theme for as long as they possibly can.

I really thought the plot about Drama's new crib was really pointless. Other than that the boys from Queens are back and I'm definitely loving it. Funny how Sloan was a pretty big character in Season 3 then completely gone in Season 4.

Sloan and E's relationship will be addressed in the next episode (or the last one... can't remember and I haven't seen the last episode yet... fortunately, HBO shows them about 200 times a week).

The show's essential fun is that the boys never suffer for too long. Like the old Greek plays, a deus ex machina-type device always saves them. Vince embodies this with his "What, me worry?" attitude. And it works. I like the show.

I thought Billy was f'n hilarious. They took every maniacal director trait and put it into one guy.

But, with all that said, I can't see "Medellin" turning out good for them. Which is bad for them but good for the show. It'll be interesting having Drama as the main breadwinner in the family, hehe.

I don't watch entourage, but after entourage and before flight of conchords they played the trailer for Medellin, now i thought this was a real movie, and it looked really good. Then I saw an episode of entourage and now is this a real movie or not?

I do wish that Vincent would have to do some soul searching instead of living the life already. I think that this upcoming movie set in the future or whatever that Walsh wrote instead of Clouds will bomb and hurt Vincent's career.
