re: The Walking Dead
Awesome premier. That show is better than anything on primetime TV.

re: The Walking Dead
I think I appreciated it less because I followed the comic. I didn't like all the extras they put in, but I'll get over it. If they just followed the comic word for word it would only make it to season 3.

re: The Walking Dead
Haven't heard. I assumed it would follow their gravic novel trades they'ved made where it seems like 6 issues so that sounds right.

re: The Walking Dead
Scratch that, according to FSH's link, the second season is going to be 13 episodes. Still I think they've got a lot of material to cover, isnt the comic series like over 70+ titles long and still going?

re: The Walking Dead
I think I'm on around 77 or so now. My wife read them all within a week or so, but she was pretty addicted to it as it was her first time reading a comic.
I'm pretty happy with the show, but my expectations were so high that I don't know if I'll ever be able to judge the show fairly. It definitely doesn't look like it will knock Mad Men out of #1 for me.

re: The Walking Dead
The premiere was good. Dialogues needs to get better. And I wasn't surprise to see yet another angry black dad cast. So predictable.
Anyway, I am hooked every Sunday! I wish I could have time to read comic books..

re: The Walking Dead
He isn't really an angry black dad, he was in the original comic book, but played a much smaller role. In the book there never was all that stuff at his house, hardly any of the dialogue.
If you think hes angry, wait until you meet Tyrese.

re: The Walking Dead
Just watched this. I liked it a lot but the only thing I would've liked a lit more plot and story and a little less "suspense" or w/e. I enjoyed the parts where they talk about the zombies and show how human life is in the post apocalyptic world is more than the parts where he walks into an empty building and they make it seem like a zombie is about to jump out. I also thought they were going to keep the horse and it would've been cool if they did, also would've made it sadder when it died if he had it for a longer time. But honestly those are pretty minor complaints, overall it was really on point and some of the shots were just WOW for a TV series. Really nice budget on this. AMC does it again.
