re: The Walking Dead
Not different, better. And if Darabont is gone, its because he was told he wasn't needed anymore. He didn't quit. There was a huge outcry to the shit he produced.
Compare it to watching Game of Thrones except they decide to go "I know this guys dies in the book, but we're going to make him into one of the main characters. We'll make up a few more main characters as well........ and lets make Ed Stark have a secret gay relationship with King Rob. Man George R R Martin should call to consult me before writing his next book!"

re: The Walking Dead
What are you talking about?
Darabont isn't the writer...he brought the show to AMC. What outcry are you talking about? He's the executive producer, he doesn't write the scripts or direct the show. Walking Dead was one of AMC's most successful shows, actually scratch that, Walking Dead IS AMC's most successful show, so what outcry are you talking about? Game of Thrones is in a class of itself, there are few shows that can compare to it. The same goes for comparing the source material, they are in different leagues. The guy who writes Walking Dead doesn't seem too bothered about the changes they have made to the show, after all he is still a consultant on the show and seems to be thrilled with the product.

And no, Mad Men is easily.....and I mean easily AMC's most successful show. Why do you always talk out of your ass? And the outcry is from people who read the source material. Why do you think everyone was let go? I mean, are you kidding me? Its the most successful TV show on the history of the planet and no one at all is upset about the direction they went..........yet they fired everyone. Yea. Makes sense HB.

re: The Walking Dead
Umm dude, Walking Dead gets their highest viewer ratings on that network. Its easily their most successful show.
As for why everyone was let go, your guess is as good as mine. Frank fired all the writers, and then he had to step down. Obviously something is happening behind the scenes, unless you work for AMC, you are pretty much putting out guesses just like everyone else. All I know is the show brings in viewers, so this outcry you are talking about isn't doing much to prevent it from doing well. There are few cable shows that bring in more ratings than it does. now who's talking out of their ass.

re: The Walking Dead
Yeah I know he directed the first one, but I didnt have any problems with the rest of the show. It progressed as it should and truly portrayed that end of the world feel, people trying to survive the apocalypse. Its a zombie show, don't know what people were expecting from it.

"They had an argument behind the scenes so everyone was fired and now they're starting fresh." No, they got fired because the show is junk. And why do you think there's so many people complaining about this show in this thread HB? Is it just a few posters on a basketball website and we don't represent other viewers feelings? Again, they were fired because there are a lot of people upset with how shitty the show turned out.

re: The Walking Dead
At least you stopped arguing about Mad men being the network's most successful show. I'll take that as progress.
