re: The Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy

Have you seen the first Spider-Man? That was kiddy. And it was still an entertaining and fun summer flick.

Spider-Man has always been a lighthearted character. We saw Raimi try to take him down that dark, adult path and that ended up nothing short of a disaster. I'm not saying that it can't be done — Raimi did a horrendous job and there are some dark Spider-Man stories in the comics to adapt from — it's just ten times more difficult trying to do it with Spider-Man than with a character like Batman.

re: The Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy

Few other thoughts:

-Like Emma Stone. I'm okay with Garfield.

-Like Denis Leary but kind of shaky with him as a George Stacy acting like J. Jonah Jameson. They're completely opposite characters.

-Not so high on the Lizard's look either. The head/face is too human-like.

-They did include an origins story, but judging from the trailer it seems almost entirely different from Spider-Man's actual origins story (as seen in SM1). It would be a huge negative if they don't kill Uncle Ben.

-All in all, it is probably too soon for a reboot. I'm still looking forward to it nevertheless.

Look, SM3 killed the franchise. At least now they can kill gwen stacy and have parker have a dark side for venom to take ahold of. The origins story in Raimi's version wasn't the most faithful either.

Wait, Oscorp planned for Pete to be accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider? Talk about evil corporations...

Italian guy confuses Spidey stars by interviewing them as Spidey

Here he is in action:

Apparently, this guy pulled this same stunt with the cast of Captain America.
