Those certainly would have made for a darker film. I wonder why they decided to lighten things up so much.

Honest question: what is the reason you guys think explains Marvel's films changing the color of a comic book caracter?

To get a better actor in the role because the color of a fictional character is irrelevant (in most cases).

Hmmmm.... I don't know, man. It seems to me it goes deeper than that. A Nordic (sp?) God black? A black Nick Fury?
Maybe Marvel thinks the books are too "white" to film viewers today...
Afterall,
We all know we wouldn't stand the notion of a white/hispanic/asian Luke Cage / T'Challa / Storm. I just find it curious that Marvel is doing it the other way around...

Easter Eggs in The Amazing Spider-Man reveal secrets about the sequel

The last movie, Peter’s sort of discovering his powers and he’s getting gradually better. Peter, in the next movie, is going to be a virtuoso. Spider-Man, from the outset, is a pro. He’s an expert, and he’s having a blast, and he is just electrifying in terms of his abilities as Spider-Man. That’s going to be really fun. I’m really looking forward to a lot of those sequences.

Anybody have any guesses as to what the hidden elements are?
