All Deleted Scenes

Those certainly would have made for a darker film. I wonder why they decided to lighten things up so much.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy

Quote:
In a conceivably shocking development*, Jamie Foxx is in preliminary negotiations to take on the role of the villain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, EW has confirmed. “Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night,” Foxx tweeted out this afternoon. “Costume fits well.” (*Apologies for the pun.)

In the Marvel comics, Maxwell “Max” Dillon is an engineer who gains the ability to control electricity after he’s struck by lightning, and becomes the supervillain Electro. The character hasn’t traditionally been African American, though snagging the Oscar-winning Foxx for the role would be in keeping with other recent color-blind casting for super hero films, like Laurence Fishburne as Perry White in Man of Steel, and Idris Elba as Heimdall in Thor. (In Marvel’s alternate “Ultimate” universe, Spidey himself is now a mixed-race kid named Miles Morales.)

What a great casting move

Sneaky good choice if it's true.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy

Honest question: what is the reason you guys think explains Marvel's films changing the color of a comic book caracter?

To get a better actor in the role because the color of a fictional character is irrelevant (in most cases).

They look for a good actor and could care less about their race

It's pretty funny, though.

And Lindsay Lohan if she had better parents! That got me! This trailer was actually accurate sadly enough

Hmmmm.... I don't know, man. It seems to me it goes deeper than that. A Nordic (sp?) God black? A black Nick Fury?
Maybe Marvel thinks the books are too "white" to film viewers today...
Afterall,
We all know we wouldn't stand the notion of a white/hispanic/asian Luke Cage / T'Challa / Storm. I just find it curious that Marvel is doing it the other way around...

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy

Easter Eggs in The Amazing Spider-Man reveal secrets about the sequel

Quote:
There’s a scene where Gwen is in the Oscorp lab giving a tour to a series of students and there could be Easter eggs in there. There’s also an Easter egg at the end of the movie.

In the very last shot of the film where [Spider-Man] is swinging, [he] gets himself shot out of the crane and he’s flying down past the George Washington Bridge and he strikes a pose. There’s an Easter egg – but I can’t tell you any more than that – [that's] for something to come.

The last movie, Peter’s sort of discovering his powers and he’s getting gradually better. Peter, in the next movie, is going to be a virtuoso. Spider-Man, from the outset, is a pro. He’s an expert, and he’s having a blast, and he is just electrifying in terms of his abilities as Spider-Man. That’s going to be really fun. I’m really looking forward to a lot of those sequences.
Anybody have any guesses as to what the hidden elements are?
