I liked his voice. Was awesome. Gave him a revolutionary/philosopher element to him. His voice could've been squeaky as long as he broke necks, smashed throats, blew up people, beat the **** out of Batman, kill pregnant ladies and school children.

I like the contrast of his voice compared to his menacing physical appearance/presence.

Yep. Plus it gave his character a little more depth.

I thought this was a solid 9/10 movie, maybe better than The Dark Knight. My only problem was that Marion Cotillard was just awful. She was really, really, remarkably bad.

I agree. She was horrendous in an otherwise remarkable cast.

Why doesn't the CIA jet in the beginning... take any evasive maneuvers? It just maintains a steady cruise forward at the same speed.

Other questions.

Why did Talia want to be in the blast radius and perish (along with Bane)? And if she knew Wayne escaped the prison, why not detonate the bomb and let him see the failure before he could intervene? Why does the bomb truck drive down such narrow alleys?

That said, I loved it. It's a triumph.

Other than an absolutely terrible "death" scene, I didn't mind her. But her attempt at dying was ****ing painful.

Just saw it again and I'm gonna have to agree with RStar. Other than the death scene, she was ok. The fight in the sewers was just awesome, and I find myself wishing that they would have showed how Bruce re-entered the city after escaping the prison.

Yeah, his 'appearance' in the 'pit' and then his subsequent return to Gotham was poorly executed. Especially as he was meant to be flat broke by that point, so how the **** did he fund his return from this far away land?

If you remember in Batman Begins, Bruce spent years traveling the seedy underside of the world. He didn't suddenly forget how to hop a freighter.

I don't see how showing Bruce's travels back to the city moves the plot along. Sure it would be an interesting bit of information, but his struggle was getting healthy and getting out of the pit.

I liked it. Pretty good popcorn flick that let me look past the flaws.

I think the problem with Batman getting back to Gotham is it happened so quickly. It was lazy writing, and it was one of the many things that just happened out of convenience more than logic. It didn't get in the way because I feel with this film is where Nolan openly accepted it was a comic book movie and you just forgive these moments of convenience from taking place.
