re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
Well it was pointless. He could have made the bomb take 3 years to destabilize if he wanted and it would have been more realistic for Wayne to get out of the hole.

re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
What about the scene where she stabbed Batman? I thought that was horrendous as well. The rest of the movie she was just passably bad, poor acting where it didn't really matter. Then in the two scenes which called for her A game, and even her getaway afterwards, she failed miserably.

re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
I just saw this one, awesome. Cotillard had some pretty weak scenes, but overall played the part well, I just feel that she was underutilized in the film.

This movie was flawed as hell but I enjoyed it a lot more than the Dark Knight (outside of the Joker scenes).

I thought it was a little disappointing. I still don't understand how the cop knew who Batman was. Besides that, I thought the movie was very slow through the first about 70% and really had very little Batman in it.
I never read the comic book but I didn't really like how they portrayed catwoman more as a troubled partner than an enemy and I liked bane more as a silent monster kind of role. As for her acting, ya she was pretty god awful throughout. I literally laughed out loud in the theater then stopped when I realized nobody else was. I thought what's his face was a bit of an overcast as the rookie cop Wasn't this supposed to end as a trilogy? The ending didn't really coincide with that |

re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
lol you liked Batman and Robin version of Bane? He's supposed to be equally intelligent as he is a fighter. He outsmarted Batman and broke his back in Knightfall comic. He found out he was too. In this, they played it up but with some differences and he wasn't wearing a luchadore costume or have tubes coming out of his head. Or grunt. Some say he was downgraded by Talia being involved but I see it as both being behind it all. He also didn't even listen to her when she said to wait to kill him in the end.
Catwoman has always crossed that line as goodguy/badguy I thought. Even in Returns. Eh, they played it as Blake having something in common to create a connection by seeing it in Bruce. Beyond that, shouldn't be hard to realize Batman showed up when Wayne emerged in Begins or when Batman left, Wayne went into hiding those 8 yrs. Nolan always maintained it as end of Bruce Wayne's story. Doesn't have to go on with Blake as Nightwing, Robin or Batman. JGL gave a great, underrated performance and this is all the reason they gave that role to someone like him. It's an important role to take up the mantle next. |

re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
The movie was pretty good, but definitely not Dark Knight good. I say it was mostly the final act that I didn't really like. There were so many twists, but all of them were extremely predictable. Also, as everyone has already pointed out, Cotillard was absolutely horrible. There are a lot of questions the film left me with too...
*As absolutely everyone keeps asking, how did Batman get back into the city when it was on lock-down by both the National Guard and Bane's henchmen? Heck, without any money to his name, how did Bruce Wayne even get back to America? *How Did Bane know that Gotham's entire police force would all go underground to search for him at once? And how did he know that they would do it exactly when the football game started? *Why did Gotham send its entire police force underground at once? Isn't that stupid? *How did Bane know where Batman's secret stash of weapons and vehicles were? *How did Blake know Batman's secret identity? *How did Blake know Gordon would wash out of the sewage drain (that specific sewage drain too) after he was ambushed in the sewer? *When the police charged on Bane's automatic-weapon-wielding, tank-having henchmen, why weren't they completely mowed down in seconds? *Why did Batman shoot at a vehicle carrying a nuclear bomb?

re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
Why is the Commissioner always on the front lines of active events?
How does he just promote Blake to detective while in the hospital bed? How is Blake all over Gotham City just in time for everything? How does a mechanical knee brace solve the missing cartilage all over Bruce Wayne's body and his problem with concussions? How did he get explosions in the upper deck of the stadium when he had the explosions in the concrete he was pouring? The thing is people are picking this movie over but there are similar (in number and kind) of plot holes in the prior movies. I just think the problem that people are having (and this is going from what I've heard) is that this has taken a more comic tone where the others attempted to be more realistic. I feel that I welcomed it because it was easier to accept things and I've seen other people really put off by it. So it's interesting.

Batman is Bruce Wayne. Keep that in mind. The type of character batman is, he would have a contingency for anything. Plus, rich people broke is not the same as regular people broke. He's still a man with connections, and a means to do things. How he gets to the city doesn't matter. Hell, the movie showing special forces guys getting in should be enough to say - these guys can make it in, then batman can make it in.

re: The Dark Knight Rises SPOILERS ABOUND
You guys are ****ing idiots.
Its a comic book movie you retards. He got back to Gotham because hes the ****ing Batman. And as someone else explained, it was shown that he got around the world in seedy ways prior to being the Batman. IE the whole fact he was inducted into the League of Shadows. "Buuuuutt how did Blake know he was the Batman!" probably because it made more sense doing it the way they explained it, rather than adding an extra 30 minutes to show Blake sneaking around following Batman back to the Batcave and finding out that way. Honestly. Quit going to movies then you morons. I'm not even a huge fan of the movie, but seeing as how it's a super hero movie, and not a non fiction documentary, you guys should take it for what its worth and enjoy the movie.
